MILLVILLE, Utah — A Millville family recently received an outpouring of community support, enabling them to purchase a much-needed wheelchair-accessible van for their son, Trexton Lee.

Trexton was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at just six weeks old, a revelation his sister, Summer Lee, 13, described as initially confusing regarding his developmental milestones. His life has included numerous strokes, multiple surgeries, and the loss of his ability to walk and talk, according to his family. Despite these challenges, his father, Jason Lee, shared that Trexton brings immense joy, capable of brightening a bad day with a smile.

As Trexton grew, daily tasks became more difficult for his family. Getting him in and out of the car, which previously involved only a car seat, grew increasingly challenging. The family realized they urgently needed a specialized van to accommodate Trexton's wheelchair and facilitate his transportation.

When a suitable wheelchair-accessible van became available in their area, the cost seemed daunting. Jason Lee initially considered taking out a loan, stating, "We'll just get a loan, and we'll just do it. We'll just work extra, whatever we got to do." However, unbeknownst to him, his family had already launched a GoFundMe campaign and reached out to Fox 13 News to help spread awareness of their need.

The community's response was swift and generous. Donations poured in, allowing the Lee family to purchase the van. Jason Lee expressed his overwhelming gratitude through tears, acknowledging the sacrifice of donors. "I don't even know how to say thank you enough," he said, noting that some contributors gave despite their own financial limitations.

The new van represents more than just transportation; it symbolizes the power of community and a reminder for the family that they are not alone. Trexton's sister, Londyn Lee, emphasized that the experience highlights the importance of asking for help when facing difficult burdens. His brother, Jaxon Lee, reflected on the profound impact Trexton has had on their lives, teaching them the importance of selflessness and serving others.

For the Lee family, the van is not just an average vehicle; they affectionately call it a "spaceship," ready to take Trexton on new adventures, providing freedom and mobility despite the challenges he continues to face.
